The MacDougal difference
I play a set of antique 1880s MacDougals – one of the best bagpipes available anywhere. A hundred years after they were made (and a few years before I purchased them), the pipes won the Grade I World Championship with the 78th Frasier Highlanders – the first pipe band located outside of Scotland to win the Worlds.
Made of cocus wood instead of the more typical African blackwood, the MacDougals produce a big, mellow tone that fills any room. Once tuned, the MacDougals lock in and stay in tune.

Minnesota Firefighters Pipes and Drums is a non-profit band dedicated to supporting first responders. As pipe major of the band, I can answer any questions and provide a tailored experience for firefighting and other related events.
